We are currently rolling out a new tourism website for Kewaunee County.
Visit Kewaunee County is a collective tourism initiative that partners local businesses, organizations and Chambers of Commerce. Its goal is to promote the unique tourism opportunities that Kewaunee County offers. New Rail was brought in to help cultivate a niche marketing initiative that would detail and promote the area’s little-known gems and destinations.
During phase one of the initiative, we are focusing on developing a website that connects with and engages users in promoting, discussing and reviewing the great things that Kewaunee County has to offer. Each article allows users to more fully understand some of the events and destinations, while the comments section allows everyone to share their own views on the topic. This is the kind of viral marketing angle that can energize a region, as well as open up new streams of revenue and markets.
New Rail’s design approach was to touch on the unique nature of Kewaunee tourism. It truly is an old fashioned “road trip” experience. Kewaunee County is home to the best fishing on Lake Michigan and has incredibly preserved downtowns with scenic waterfronts. It also has a rich agricultural heritage that is evident in the many family farms that remain on the scenic, lush, rolling landscape. It also has very little in the way of national chain developments – in fact nearly every business in the county is locally owned and run. In other words – it’s Vintage Wisconsin!
New Rail used this niche to carve out a website that has vintage charm with classic illustrations of family road trips, camping and sport. Since this is only the first piece of the puzzle check back and see what’s coming next.
